The FREE project will participate in the SPECTO 2012.

SPECTO 2012 unites researchers, teachers, administrators and policy makers from the social work, sociology, psychology, the applied sciences and education as well as specialists in criminal justice.

SPECTO 2012 Timisoara will focus the latest scientific developments in promotion of alternative sanctions in general and special treatment for delinquent child protection in particular.  Conference events include plenary lectures, special sections, workshops, and poster sessions showcasing new research in the field.

This Conference will address disciplinary and interdisciplinary challenges in the social science and in particular the relationships of science to society.Topics will explore the nature of sanctions that can be applied to delinquent children, considering connections between them and causes for committing acts of criminal nature.Last but not least, the challenge and priority is the prevention of juvenile delinquency and delinquent child protection with the aim of its social reintegration.

Key themes addressed by the Conference include psychological, juridical and social approaches to violence and juvenile delinquency and the main institutions involved in prevention, treatment and reintegration of delinquent children.

This Conference aims are to explore, in an interdisciplinary spirit, linkages between different areas of concern, research, teaching and practices on crime prevention and quasi coercive treatment of the delinquent child as well as the resilience of them.
